AOTOS are delighted to be hosting a European Voice Teachers Association conference for hundreds of singing teachers from across the globe. It promises to be an exciting event with masterclasses, workshops and recitals in a variety of styles and genres. Many languages will be represented in song including Icelandic, German, English, American, Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese and Scottish.

Scottish music will of course be a showcase allowing for exploration of a wonderful folk-song tradition as well as a traditional ceilidh (Scottish dance) for all delegates. Singers from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland will present a showcase of contemporary Scottish music. AOTOS will also share the excellent teaching programme that we have been refining over the last 20 years. It promises to be a fantastic weekend so keep the dates free!

We will be using the fabulous facilities at Stewart’s Melville College (and in particular the Tom Fleming Centre) which is situated in the heart of Edinburgh.
