A Journey to discover songs created by women composers from Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Cuba, Catalunya and Mexico. Together with Patricia Caicedo, a leading performer of the Latin American and Iberian art song, we will have the opportunity to discover the compositions of women composers from Argentina, Brasil, Catalunya, Colombia, Cuba, and Mexico. Songs full of passion, sensibility, and tenderness written on texts of some of the most renowned poets of the Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan languages.

Patricia Caicedo is a special guest at the University of North Alabama to present a lecture of Latin American art songs focusing on the works of women composers and composers of color.

En Canciones Íntimas: un Viaje a Los Orígenes, Patricia Caicedo performs songs from the Latin American popular repertoire and her own compositions that emerged during confinement. She performs live from the Biblioteca de Catalunya in Barcelona in an intimate format, accompanying herself by the guitar, as she used to do when she was a teenager.
